Scalable Energy Control

About Us

Greenlet Technologies’ mission is to provide a truly scalable energy control for utilities, energy service companies and customers through the use of enhanced software, hardware and communications technologies.

Greenlet develops a highly-integrated system for the Smart Grid market, using Internet, IT and power electronics. Greenlet’s core technology allows fast deployment of peak shaving and Demand Response programs for customers using small loads without the need for professional installation, reducing time to market and maximizing cost cutting for utilities and customers.

Our suite is comprised of a central software application which tracks power consumption, implements load balancing algorithms, sends commands for power reduction, and calculates the payback customers are eligible to get for power curtailment.

Leveraging a patent pending AD&R core technology, the solution allows fast deployment of "Greenlet" units that control electrical loads in an economical fashion, and most importantly require no professional installation.

Key benefits for utilities

  • Eliminate outages and blackouts
  • Reduce operating expenses at peak hours
  • Reduce capital expenditure
  • Increase uptake of small load peak shaving solutions

Key benefits for customers

  • Easy to use automated system which does not require professional installation
  • Reduction of electricity bill by at least 10%
  • Easily control & monitor energy consumption
  • Remote access to the system via the web or cell phone

Main technologies employed

  • Energy Management System – A web-connected Java/J2EE-based client-server application. External SOA interfaces are available for connection to OSS, MDMS/DMS, Billing systems and GIS. Open-ADR and ZSEP are implemented.
  • Communications – Internet, IEEE 802 media and Zigbee as well as HTTP and SNMP.
  • Hardware – advanced power electronics, DSP and low-power processing.
